About
This building houses Neighborhood Outreach and VCU AmeriCorps, programs of the Center for Community Engagement and Impact under the Office of the Provost.
Neighborhood Outreach works closely with VCU’s surrounding neighborhoods to help students and VCU be better neighbors. This is done by having a physical presence and engagement at community meetings and working closely with the neighborhoods to address community issues.
VCU AmeriCorps is the largest and longest-running AmeriCorps program in Virginia. Its goal is to help improve the literacy skills of children in grades k-3 attending Richmond Public Schools.
