Institute for Contemporary ArtConstruction on the Institute for Contemporary Art began June 2014 and should take approximately two years to complete. The 43,000-square-foot building will provide performance and exhibition space, as well as classrooms, a sculpture garden, a café, administrative offices and more.

Designed to be an educational and cultural resource for both VCU and the city of Richmond, the ICA will feature the work of renowned artists and designers from around the world.

Steven Holl Architects was selected from 64 competing architecture firms from around the world to design the ICA.
